This recipe contains all the necessary ingredients, in order to produce your own homemade deodorant.
It’s 100% natural and extremely efficient, in contrast with all those chemical and aluminum based deodorants found in most shops these days.
We all know what those do to your body, which I will not detail as this recipe is not about that.
However, it must also be mentioned, that all those chemical deodorants due to their compound (especially aluminum), have the purpose to dry the skin under the armpit, thus stopping the normal sweating and detoxifying function of the body, and trapping all toxins inside.
This process, can result in several health problems, including cancer.
This is an original recipe, not copied or inspired by anywhere.
I have self tested this several times on myself, and using it ever since.
You will need the following ingredients:
1. Rosemary extract (Rosmarinus officinalis), preferably an alcoholic extract of it, as this is one of the base ingredients you must use for preparation.
2. Maize extract (Zea mays), or also known as corn extract, alcoholic version, as these are the best for the base ingredient.
These above base ingredients are very important, as they don’t have any odor, but are very important as the essential oils, are perfectly soluble within.
Also, due to these ingredients, the essential oils will leave no stain whatsoever on your clothing.
Thus, you can use it without worries on your clothes as well, as an exterior perfume if you wish (even in the wardrobe).
You need to mix the base ingredients first, in an equal proportion (50%).
Usually, a 50-100ml plastic spray head bottle used for perfume, is perfect for this task.
Once the bottle it’s filled by three-quarter (about 75%), you can start to add your essential oil drops.
You will need the following essential oils:
1. Lavender oil extract (Lavandula angustifolia),
2. Patchouli oil extract (Pogostemon cablin),
Or you can also introduce a third essential oil, that you might use in combination with the other two mentioned above, or just pair it with one of them, which is more favorable to you.
3. Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus).
After you have the base fluid all mixed up, choose the right combination of essential oils that you wish to use.
The first two mentioned above, is the standard recipe which I usually use.
However, as I mentioned above, you can play around a bit, and use the third one.
You need to use 20-30 drops from each oil in part. After this, you close the bottle, shake it well (recommended before each use), and you are ready to go.
These particularly chosen oils, are no accident. You can choose from a variety of hundreds of oils, however these ones posses all the necessary anti bacterial, fungal properties that you need in a natural deodorant.
Besides, they have an amazing fragrance, probably the best you can find out there.
After you are done with this deodorant, you can spray it a couple of times under each armpit, and you are done.
As I mentioned above, you can use it basically anywhere, as it’s 100% natural, it has no side effects (unless you have some kind of allergies to essential oils or fragrances), and it has amazing beneficial properties upon the skin, beside the anti bacterial and fungal one.
The effect of the deodorant spray varies of course, depending on your local climate, your work and your personal lifestyle in general.
It is to be noted, that your eating habits are crucially important to influence body odor (vegetarians and vegans smell better), as they don’t have so many toxins accumulated in their bodies.
If the circumstances require, feel free to spray yourself more often (a few times a day).
You can probably find most of these extracts, in natural product shops or alternative lifestyle related street markets.
Don’t forget, your body suppose to sweat! That’s natural and normal and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
That’s how your body gets rid of everything that doesn’t belong there.
The purpose of these amazing essential oils, is to get rid of the unwanted bacteria and with it, of the unpleasant body odor due to the eliminated toxins.
Remember, using 100% natural essential oils, doesn’t have only a pleasant odor benefit to you, but it’s also very healthy, as you carry a personal aromatherapy treatment with you, all throughout the day.
Have a beautiful and pleasant day, filled with the fragrances of Mother Nature.
